- What areas of the world do you cover?

We can currently have listings for any location in the United States of America. This does not mean that there WILL be listings available at any given time. |
- How do I delete my account?
|
If you would like to delete your account from our site, please go here and fill in the requested information. Once deleted from our site, you will no longer be able to contact individuals about listings, or have access to saved searches. |

If you have forgotten your password, click on the 'Forgot Password' link next to the login box at the top of the screen. Your password will be emailed to you. |
- Why do I need to register for this site?
|
In order to list a property for rent, or sale, you must first need to register for this site. If you wish to contact someone who has a property for rent or sale, you will also need to register. This is done to respect the privacy of the individuals who post listings, and to ensure that the data we provide to our visitors is of the highest quality. |
- Why would I save a listing?
|
If you see a house or apartment that you like, you can save it and come back and look at it later by clicking on your Saved Listings link. |
- How much does this site cost to use?
|
Currently, the site is 100% free. You can list as many apartments as you want if you are an agent/broker/owner. It is also free for users to respond to as many listings as they want. |
- Why are MonkeyHomes.com listings the most accurate in the world?
|
When a person lists an apartment on MonkeyHomes.com, the address is fully validated, down to the apartment number. Many other real estate sites are loaded with imaginary apartments that you will never see. You can be confident that every listing on MonkeyHomes.com is an actual home or apartment, and not a fake listing designed to get you to call a broker. |
LISTING |
- Which should I pick, for rent or for sale?

If the house or apartment that you are listing is going to be sold to the buyer (a transfer of deed will take place) then choose for sale. If you are just leasing the use of the house or apartment for a specific amount of time, choose for rent. |
- What kind of pictures should I upload?
|
The pictures that you upload should give a realistic sense of the home or apartment that you are listing. Generally, the clearer the image, the better. Try to upload various views and angles of the rooms of the listing. Pictures of the bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen are especially important. |
- How do I post an apartment for rent or sale?
|
First click on the 'my listings' link on the left. Then enter the apartment information. |
- Why can't I modify information about a property?
|
There are two reasons why you may be unable to modify information about a property. If you do not have a listing posted in that property, you can not modify the properties information. Or, if someone from the building's management company is registered with the site, he or she may be the only person allowed to modify building information. |
SEARCHING |
- How do I search for apartments?
|
From the menu on the left, select SEARCH. You will be able to specify your preferences and see a list of matching apartments. |
- How come no apartments fit my search preferences?
|
If you performed a search and found no results, try searching again with less stringent search preferences. If you do this, and there are still no results, it is possible that our database currently has no apartments that fit your preferences. |
- Why would I save a search?
|
If you are looking for a home in a particular location, having certain characteristics, you can save your search preferences so that you don't have to fill out the search form each time you visit the site. Simply click on the Saved Searches link to run your favorite search. |
- How many searches can I save?
|
You can save an unlimited number of searches. If you are looking in a few different areas, or at several different scenarios, you may want to save more than one search. |
